Since you asked, these are just a few of my favorite venues for experimental film, where I’ve shown my work and also seen really excellent films:
Moviate Underground Film Festival in Harrisburg PA. This festival is run by a wonderful collective of artists, and it is always filled with great films. I believe they’re accepting works right now. https://filmfreeway.com/Moviate
Les Instants Vidéo in Marseille, France, is also an incredible festival of experimental films and installations. It is also run by a wonderful collective of artists. Practically everything in this festival is worth watching, most of it excellent. https://filmfreeway.com/instantsvideo
Festival Fotogenia in Mexico City, Mexico, is an incredible celebration of film with a poetic sensibility, very broadly defined. Such great films there. https://filmfreeway.com/Fotogenia_Festival
Film and Video Poetry Symposium has been a major venue for poetry films, and all films which are made with a poetic sensibility. Director Jesse Russell Brooks does an incredible job, and he is looking into ways to expand what he does as well.
